PowerCage 401 FOX DR HD MM
- Shall provide two (2) fiber optic receivers on a single module that shall support the long-haul transmission of HDMI video, stereo audio, and RS-232 control signals
- Single-slot module designed for the Extron PowerCage 401 enclosure
- Long distance signal extension of video, audio, and control signals over multimode fiber optic cabling
- Video output requirements
- Shall provide two (2) female HDMI Type A connectors, one (1) per receiver, for digital video signals with or without embedded audio
- Shall support video resolutions up to 1920x1200, including 1080p @ 60 Hz
- Audio output requirements
- Shall support two-channel embedded audio on HDMI output connectors
- Shall provide two (2) 3.5 mm stereo mini jacks, one (1) per receiver, for unbalanced analog stereo
- Shall support audio de-embedding from HDMI signals
- Shall provide audio muting capability
- HDCP requirements
- Shall be HDCP compliant
- Shall include Extron Key Minder® technology to authenticate and maintain continuous HDCP encryption between the input and output devices to ensure quick and reliable switching
- Shall provide a full green screen signal for visual confirmation when encrypted content is routed to a non-HDCP compliant display
- AV device control requirements
- Shall provide two (2) bidirectional RS-232 connectors, one (1) per receiver, for controlling local or remote AV devices
- Shall support three modes of RS-232 insertion or pass-through for controlling local or remote devices
- RS-232 pass-through from the local RS-232 port on the module onto the fiber for communicating with a remote device or control system
- RS-232 insertion from the Ethernet port on the PowerCage 401 enclosure to the local RS-232 port on the module for communicating with a local device
- RS-232 insertion from the Ethernet port on the PowerCage 401 enclosure onto the fiber for communicating with a remote device
- Interconnection requirements
- Shall provide interconnection between transmitter and receiver over multimode fiber optic cabling
- Shall provide four (4) LC-type fiber optic connectors, two (2) per each receiver, for interconnection between transmitters and receivers
- Transmission requirements
- Shall support extension of video, audio, and control signals over multimode fiber optic cabling
- Shall provide a fiber optic signal transmission distance capability of 2 km (1.25 miles) over OM3 or OM4 laser optimized multimode fiber optic cabling
- Shall support an optical loss budget of at least 7 dB between transmitter and receiver
- Setup, control, and configuration requirements
- Shall support module setup, configuration, and control via the PowerCage 401 enclosure
- Setup, configuration, and firmware updates via the mini USB port on the enclosure front panel
- Setup, configuration, and control via the bidirectional RS-232 port on the enclosure rear panel
- Setup, configuration, control, and monitoring via an Ethernet connection to the RJ-45 port on the enclosure rear panel
- Setup and configuration without a computer using the front-panel controls and LCD on the enclosure
- Shall provide a signal via the enclosure to trigger an external control system for alarm notification in case of fiber link loss
- Shall support Extron Product Configuration Software – PCS for setup and configuration
